an experiment creating harmony among black, white, and earthy textures.
Overview – Note from Z:
This home reimagines the use of black & white together, inside and out. The home’s black faćade has a striking curb appeal. When you look at the front of the house, your eye goes to the black pergola that opens up into the outdoor deck, an invitation for good times.
Despite the striking black exterior, the inside is all white. The elegance of all the white feels like a breath of fresh air. On the inside of this home, all the major events of the space—the walls, the furniture, the tile—it’s all sunlight white.
Too much white seems stark and sterile. Too much black on the outside seems doom & gloom. What brings this all together? Nature. Earth. Organic textures with woven rugs, wicker chairs, plush sofa, and vibrant plants… Clean lines with mother nature’s organic flow. Like a drumbeat that keeps the peaceful rhythm, the earthy patterns, overstuffed couches, and natural materials create a zen space that feels elevated, yet relaxed and chill.
